The administration of each vicinage is the responsibility of the Assignment Judge who is appointed by the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court. The chambers and courtroom of the Assignment Judge is located on the first floor of the Main Courthouse. In addition to his immediate staff in the courtroom, the Trial Court Administrator also reports to the Assignment Judge.

The Trial Court Administrator is the non-judicial administrative officer who is responsible for the smooth running of all court functions in the County. All Court Division Managers report to the Trial Court Administrator (TCA). In addition, the Trial Court Administrator is responsible for statistical reports, budgets, Purchasing, Human Resource Management, liaison with Municipal Courts, Public Relations, Computer Information Systems, Law Library Services, Jury Management (Petit and grand jury), Labor Relations, liaison between the Judiciary and the County Government and liaison to the Administrative Office of the Courts in Trenton. The Trial Court Administrator's office is located on the 2nd floor of the Main Courthouse.
