INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS FOR ATTORNEY CERTIFICATION FOR THE YEAR 2012

 

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING A COMPLETED CIVIL OR CRIMINAL APPLICATION IS  FEBRUARY 29, 2012 BY POSTMARK OR HAND DELIVERY.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING A COMPLETED MATRIMONIAL OR WORKERS' COMPENSATION APPLICATION IS MARCH 30, 2012 BY POSTMARK OR HAND DELIVERY.

It is important that you read the Regulations of the Board on Attorney Certification before completing the application.  Your attention is also directed to Rule 1:39 of the Rules Governing the Courts of the State of New Jersey.

The filing fee is $200.00 per application.  If you apply for two areas of certification, the fee is $400.00 for both applications.  Checks should be made payable to "Secretary, Board on Attorney Certification."

APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED LATER THAN THE APPROPRIATE DEADLINE LISTED ABOVE  WILL  NOT BE CONSIDERED BY THE BOARD FOR THE YEAR 2012 EXAMINATION.

Please refer to the following pre-filing checklist before submitting your application. 

              1.  All questions answered 

              2. Certificates of Good Standing attached (if applicable) 

              3. Check for the filing fee made payable to “Secretary, Board on Attorney Certification”

              4. Certification and Waiver executed (last page of application signed)

              5. Original and one copy of application mailed to:
