MUNICIPAL DIVISION

The Presiding Judge of the Municipal Courts and the Municipal Division Manager form an executive component of the Municipal Division.  This relationship is in all respects comparable to the other models established in the judiciary.

The Presiding Judge, under the direction of the Assignment Judge, has the overall responsibility for the administration of all the municipal courts in the vicinage.  The Municipal Division Manager has the immediate responsibility for the administration of all the municipal courts in the vicinage under the general supervision of the Assignment Judge.

The Municipal Division oversees the fifty nine municipal courts in Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties.
