2000-2002 SUPREME COURT RULES COMMITTEES REPORTS
PUBLICATION OF ADDITIONAL REPORTS FOR COMMENT

The Supreme Court invites written comments on the additional 2000-2002 reports of the Supreme Court rules committees published with this notice. This supplements the notice to the bar published February 25, 2002 (accompanying publication of the initial seven committee reports).

The reports of the following committees are here published for comment (Acrobat PDF format):

As with the committee reports published February 25, please send any comments on these three reports and one supplemental report by Monday, April 15, 2002 to:

Comments on the Committee reports and recommendations may also be submitted via Internet e-mail to the following address: Comments.Mailbox@judiciary.state.nj.us.

The Supreme Court will not consider comments submitted anonymously. Thus, those submitting comments by mail should include their name and address (and those submitting comments by e-mail should include their name and e-mail address). However, comments submitted in response to this Notice will be maintained in confidence if the author specifically requests confidentiality. In the absence of such a request, the author’s identity and his or her comments may be subject to public disclosure.

The Supreme Court will conduct a hearing on the Committees’ reports and recommendations on or about April 30, 2002 at a time and place to be announced in the future. We will publish further notices concerning that hearing in subsequent issues of this legal newspaper. In addition, we will be soliciting comments directly from bar associations and other attorney groups. The Court will likely act on the reports in June 2002, with any rule amendments likely to become effective September 1, 2002.
