Tax Court Opinions Now Available Online
Beginning today, the Tax Court of New Jersey will post its unpublished opinions online, Judge Patrick DeAlmeida, presiding judge of the Tax Court, announced today.
Previously, only published Tax Court opinions, meaning opinions that set legal precedent, were available online. Now, unpublished opinions also will be available for the convenience of attorneys, litigants, governing agencies and the public.
“Adding the unpublished Tax Court opinions to the Judiciary website each day will expand access and improve service for court users,” said Judge DeAlmeida. “It also carries the added benefit of allowing those opinions to be shared amongst the members of the bar or other groups, enabling more people to read and learn from those decisions.”
On days when opinions are issued, they will be available at judiciary.state.nj.us at 10 a.m. They will remain on the Judiciary website for 10 business days. After two weeks, they will be archived by Rutgers Law School – Camden.
