Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection Offers Attorneys Convenient Online Registration
The Attorney Online Registration and Payment Center is now accepting payments for the 2011 assessment, announced Kenneth J. Bossong, director of the New Jersey Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection (LFCP). The site link is at njcourts.com on the right side of the page.
Implemented in 2008, the online payment center offers unparalleled convenience for attorneys to renew their registration by credit card.
The online payment center allows attorneys to pay the annual assessment at any time, from any location. Attorneys can receive instant confirmation that their payments have been received and print out receipts for their records. There is no additional charge to use the payment center, which accepts MasterCard, Visa and American Express.
Bossong said, "With the increasing use of the online payment and registration option, it has become particularly important for lawyers to keep their email addresses current."
Attorneys who used the payment system previously can log on at njcourts.com and enter their user names and passwords.
Attorneys in good standing who have not yet used the center will be able to do so later this month after receiving the 2011 billing form. The form will include individualized log-in details.
Firms can pay for groups of attorneys if the individual attorneys have completed the registration portion of the process.
