New Jersey Supreme Court
The New Jersey Supreme Court will host a ceremony observing the 60th anniversary of the first oral argument of the Court under the 1947 constitution on Monday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. in the Supreme Court Courtroom, Hughes Justice Complex, 25 Market St., Trenton. Invited speakers include Governor Jon S. Corzine, retired Associate Justice James H. Coleman Jr., Senator Leonard Lance, whose father was an architect of the state constitution, and Arthur T. Vanderbilt II, grandson of New Jersey's first modern Chief Justice.
Seating for the media is limited and will be reserved in the order requests are received. Only one seat will be reserved for each news organization. Reporters and photographers must wear press credentials to be admitted to the reserved seating area. Reporters are asked to be seated by 9:45 a.m. At 9:50 a.m., unused reserved seats will be given to reporters on a waiting list.
