Supreme Court to Hear Oral Argument in "Alcotest" Case
The New Jersey Supreme Court will hear oral argument in the matter of State v. Jane Chun (Are alcotest instruments scientifically reliable for establishing blood alcohol levels in prosecutions under N.J.S.A. 39:4-50?) in the Supreme Court courtroom on the 8th floor of the Richard J. Hughes Justice Complex, Market St., Trenton, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7.
Seating for the media is limited and will be reserved in the order requests are received. Only one seat will be reserved for each news organization. Reporters and photographers must wear press credentials to be admitted to the reserved seating area. Reporters are asked to be seated by 9:50 a.m. At 9:55 a.m., unused reserved seats will be given to reporters on a waiting list. Call the Judiciary communications office at 609-292-9580 to reserve a seat.
Allow time for passing through security in the RJH Justice Complex lobby. Photo ID must be shown.
News organizations must make arrangements in advance for still or video cameras in the courtroom, according to the Supreme Court guidelines. If demand for space is high, photographers will use a pooling arrangement. The Judiciary communications office will provide further information on pooling when photographers call for reservations.
