Civil Practitioners' Guide Now Available on Judiciary Website
A Practitioners' Guide to New Jersey's Civil Court Procedures, a soup-to-nuts guide to civil court policies and procedures, has been posted on the Judiciary website at njcourtsonline.com, today announced Jane F. Castner, assistant director of civil practice. The guide is expanded and updated from the Civil Part Standard Operating Procedures Manual currently used by Judicial judges and staff statewide.
This civil practitioners' guide, prepared by Michelle Perone of the Civil Practice Division, ensures that practitioners statewide are aware of the court system's expectations so they can follow common procedures. This revised manual reflects attorneys' needs and questions.
"This much-anticipated civil practitioner's guide will be an excellent reference tool for not only attorneys, but litigants and law students as well," said Castner.
The guide is a detailed collection of all existing directives, sample forms, uniform policies, procedures and guidelines concerning practice in the Law Division Civil Part. Some practitioners may also find it a useful research tool for answering their questions about unfamiliar issues that may arise only occasionally.
