Supreme Court Argument on Alchotest Scheduled for April 5
(Note new security procedure for entering the Justice complex.)

The New Jersey Supreme Court will hear oral argument in the matter of State v. Jane Chun (Are Alcotest instruments scientifically reliable for establishing blood alcohol levels in prosecutions under N.J.S.A. 39:4-50?) on April 5 at 10 a.m. in the Supreme Court courtroom, eighth floor, Richard J. Hughes Justice Complex, Market St., Trenton.

Seating for the media is limited and will be reserved in the order requests are received. Only one seat will be reserved for each news organization. Reporters and photographers must wear press credentials to be admitted to the reserved seating area. Reporters are asked to be seated by 9:45 a.m. At 9:50 a.m., unused reserved seats will be given to reporters on a waiting list.

According to Supreme Court guidelines, news organizations must make arrangements in advance for still or video cameras in the courtroom. If demand for space is high, photographers will use a pooling arrangement.

Call the Judiciary communications office at 609-292-9580 to reserve a seat or to inquire about bringing a camera into the courtroom.

Allow time for passing through security in the RJH Justice Complex lobby. Security guards will ask for a driver's license as the preferred identifying document. While other forms of identification, including press credentials, remain acceptable, presenting a driver's license will expedite the process of obtaining a visitor pass when entering the building.
