Passaic County Probationers Complete Vocational Training

Twenty-eight students from Passaic County Probation's Vo-Tech program will be honored on Jan. 23, 2007 for completing a 15-week program in which they were trained in one of six trades as well as prepared to take the general education development exam.

The program allows probationers between the ages of 17 and 25 to choose between culinary arts, medical arts, carpentry, plumbing, automotive or business graphics. In addition, the students must prepare for their GED, if they do not have a high school diploma or equivalent. This is the sixth cycle of this program, which is funded by a grant from the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General/ Division of Criminal Justice.

The ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Passaic County Technical Institute, 45 Reinhardt Road, Wayne, NJ. For seating information, please contact Kim Casamassina at 973-247-8747.
