Supreme Court Oral Argument in Lewis v. Harris
The New Jersey Supreme Court will hear oral argument on Wed., Feb. 15, 2006 at 10 a.m. in the matter of Mark Lewis vs. Gwendolyn L. Harris (Does the New Jersey Constitution require the State to allow same-sex couples to marry?). Argument will be heard in the Supreme Court courtroom on the eighth floor, Richard J. Hughes Justice Complex, 25 Market St., Trenton. The argument may be viewed on the Judiciary Web site at njcourtsonline.com. Look for the "Webcast" icon.
Courtroom seating for the media is limited and will be reserved in the order requests are received. Only one seat will be reserved for each news organization. Reporters and photographers must wear press credentials to be admitted to the reserved seating area. Reporters should be seated by 9:45 a.m. At 9:55, unused reserved seats will be given to reporters on a waiting list. Reporters who are unable to reserve a seat in the courtroom may reserve a seat in an overflow viewing area at the RJH Justice Complex, where they will be able to watch a live feed of the argument.

News organizations must make arrangements in advance for still or video cameras in the courtroom, according to the Supreme Court guidelines. Pooling arrangements will be provided for television, radio and still photography. The communications office will provide further information on pooling when photographers call for reservations.
Allow time for passing through security in the RJH Justice Complex lobby. Photo ID must be shown.
