Supreme Court Oral Argument Added for Monday, March 15, 2004
Oral argument before the Supreme Court in the matter of Asbury Park Board of Education, et al. v. N.J. Dept. of Education is scheduled for Mon., March 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Supreme Court courtroom, Richard J. Hughes Justice Complex, Market St., Trenton, NJ. Under consideration will be a motion for reversal of an Appellate Division judgment (Did Appellate Division majority or minority in dissent properly construe the Supreme Court's Order of July 2003?).
Seating for the media for the Asbury Park argument is limited and will be reserved in the order requests are received. Only one seat will be reserved for each news organization. Reporters and photographers must wear photo identification press credentials to gain entry to the Justice Complex and to the courtroom. Reporters should be seated by 1:45 p.m.
News organizations must make arrangement for still or video cameras in the courtroom through the Judiciary Office of Communications, according to the Supreme Court guidelines. If demand for space is high, photographers will used a pooling arrangement. The Office of Communications will provide further information on pooling when photographers call for reservations.
