Diane Ailey To Be Sworn in as New Jersey Tax Court Administrator/Tax Court Clerk

New Jersey Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz signed an order appointing Diane L. Ailey tax court administrator/tax court clerk. The chief justice's order, signed on February 26, calls for the appointment to be effective March 22, 2003, at a salary to be determined in accordance with Judiciary salary regulations.
"Diane is a highly organized and effective administrator, and we are delighted that she will be joining us," said Tax Court Presiding Judge Joseph C. Small.
Judge Small will administer the oath of office to Ms. Ailey on March 24 in the Tax Court office.
In her new role, Ms. Ailey will oversee all case operations and management for the more than 5,000 cases filed annually, as well as administrative services for the court, including facilities, personnel, information technology and budget.
Ms. Ailey began her Judiciary career in 1980 as a field representative in Municipal Court services. She also has held the positions of procedures analyst in the Program and Procedures Unit and methods analyst in the Civil Division and Information Services Division. Currently, she is the Civil Division manager of Vicinage 13, serving Hunterdon, Warren and Somerset Counties. She holds a B.A. from Rutgers University.
"I look forward to this new opportunity to serve the public and the Tax Court," said Ms. Ailey. "I believe this position will be both challenging and rewarding, and I am eager to begin," she added.
Ms. Ailey resides in Ewing Township with her husband, Andrew. Her interests include gardening, swimming and travel.
