The office is responsible for safeguarding attendance and medical records, administering health benefits, preparing payroll, processing pension-related matters, documenting personnel transactions, coordinating vicinage training, and overseeing labor relations in the vicinage. Human Resources encompasses personnel, payroll and pension, health benefits, and training, as well as vacancy planning, posting of vacancies, recruiting staff, hiring, employee evaluations, and other related personnel matters. All records relative to medical, personnel, and training are maintained in this Division. |
Personnel
Responsible for the administration of the Personnel Management Information System (PMIS) which documents and manages personnel transactions, including:
- new hires
- promotions and demotions
- disciplinary actions
- leaves of absence
- resignations and terminations
This section is also responsible for monitoring staffing ratios in order to ensure compliance with the authorized Table of Organization.
Payroll and Pension
Processes all payroll and pension functions in coordination with established deadlines. These include but are not limited to:
- overtime and supplemental compensation
- automatic payroll deposit
- deferred compensation
- flexible spending
- account plans
- supplemental annuity
- credit union
Health Benefits
Responsible for the administration and coordination of medical and dental benefits for vicinage personnel. This section assists employees in their interaction with health and dental programs by disseminating information and processing forms relative to:
- selection of plans during open enrollment periods
- coverage options
- prescription drug coverage and vision care
Training
Monitors and coordinates vicinage wide training activities.
The vicinage Training Coordinator is responsible for assessing judicial
training needs, instructing staff members to function in a training capacity,
and conducting training sessions for vicinage personnel. The training
coordinator establishes and maintains relationships as liaison to AOC
regarding all training matters, and maintains records and statistics regarding
training attendance and program activity.
