General Operations Division Manager
The Operations Division provides support services for judiciary. This includes acting as a liaison with the County regarding facilities issues, security and health and safety. Please click on any of the following to obtain more information about a specific topic.

The Jury Management Unit is responsible for qualifying and summoning both petit and grand jurors. In the Passaic Vicinage petit jurors are summoned for either three days or for one day. In either case, if selected for a trial the jurors will serve for the duration of that trial and then be excused. Grand jurors serve two days per week for a two-month period.

The Passaic County Interpreters' Unit services all courts in all Divisions, including court mandated Diversionary Programs, such as, Arbitration, Mediation etc. At this time the unit consists of 7 full-time Spanish-speaking staff interpreters.
We provide services for other languages from a list of State approved interpreters. Requests for interpreters other than Spanish must be submitted to each Division's respective liasion.

All court proceedings are recorded either by audio recording or a Certified Court Reporter. Individuals wishing to purchase a transcript of any proceeding should call 973-247-8087.

All court records are maintained for the period of time prescribed by Court Rule. The vicinage maintains active records within each division. Records of disposed cases are maintained in an off site facility. Individuals wishing copies of specific records should contact the division in which the matter was heard.

The vicinage has video teleconferencing capabilities. Video teleconferencing can be used for a variety of purposes such as to attend conferences remotely, conduct summary court proceedings or take depositions.
