If the emergent judge cannot be reached in chambers after
normal working hours, on holidays or weekends, an attorney or litigant may
contact the following applicable office for the county out of which the matter
arises:
1. Burlington, Camden, Hunterdon and Somerset - County
Communications Center;
2. Monmouth and Union - County Police Department;
3. Warren - County Jail;
4. All other counties - County Sheriff's Department.
The county office will obtain a telephone number where the
attorney or litigant can be reached and then contact the emergent judge.
If an attorney or litigant is unsuccessful in an attempt to
have the applicable county office reach the emergent judge, he or she can
contact the State Police Operational Dispatch Bureau Duty Trooper at (609)
882-2000, Ext. 6311.
