Re: Identification of Litigation Involving Reliance Insurance Company

On October 3, 2001, an Order was entered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania declaring the Reliance Insurance Company ("Reliance") to be insolvent and directing liquidation. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 17:30A-18, the New Jersey Property Liability Insurance Guaranty Association obtained from the Hon. Neil H. Shuster, Presiding Judge, Chancery Division, General Equity Part, Mercer County an Order staying all litigation throughout New Jersey involving Reliance for 120 days nunc pro tunc as of October 3, 2001.

In order to assist the court in identifying all affected litigation, the bar is asked to notify the Civil Division Manager in the county in which the case is venued of the docket number and name of all cases that the bar is handling either on behalf of Reliance or against an insured of Reliance.
