The Supreme Court of New Jersey having ruled on the Disciplinary Oversight Committee ("DOC") and New Jersey Lawyers Assistance Program ("NJLAP") budgets for 2001, the New Jersey Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection ("Fund") is now in a position to conduct the assessment for the calendar year 2001. As always, the money collected through the assessment will support not only the Fund, but the disciplinary process as well. Funding will also be provided for the NJLAP. The breakdown for 2001 is as follows:
| Calendar Year of Admission | DOC Portion | FUND Portion | FUND NJLAP Portion | TOTAL Assessment |
| 2001 | $ 0.00 | $ 0.00 | $0.00 | No Fee |
| 2000 | 25.00 | 0.00 | 3.00 | $28.00 |
| 1998 - 1999 | 95.00 | 25.00 | 5.00 | 125.00 |

| 1951 & Prior | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.00 | No Fee |
Billing notices will be mailed in early March. The deadline for response to the billing is April 16, 2001. Please telephone the Fund at (609) 292-8079 if you have not received your billing card by March 23. Timely payment will avert the $25.00 late fee.
Please be sure to return the entire original card. Note that the card consists of three separate portions with three distinct purposes. For example, different addresses are sought on the various portions of the card. Since the billing address is the one that shows through the window envelope, it is crucial that an effective mailing address be kept current with the Fund. Please indicate any change in mailing address in the box on the top portion of the card. Also, note that your mailing address is not confidential.
Questions regarding any portion of the card should be directed to the corresponding telephone number displayed on that portion.
