Denial of Request for Centralized Management
of Shoulder Pain Pump Litigation
A previous Notice to the Bar sought comments on an application for the centralized management of all New Jersey state-court litigation involving shoulder pain pumps. That application was submitted pursuant to Rule 4:38A and the Revised Mass Tort Guidelines as promulgated by Directive #7-09. This notice is to advise that the Supreme Court, after considering the application and any and all comments received, has determined not to grant the application. Accordingly, all pain pump cases should continue to be filed in the appropriate counties of venue.
This notice will also be posted on the Judiciary’s Internet website (njcourtsonline.com) in the Mass Tort Information Center (http://www.judiciary.state.nj.us/mass-tort/index.htm).
