NOTICE TO THE BAR

SUPREME COURT OF NEW JERSEY

WHEREAS the New Jersey Judiciary has been working closely with the Executive Branch to implement a new automated child support enforcement system, known as NJKiDS (New Jersey Kids Deserve Support), to replace the current system, known as ACSES (Automated Child Support Enforcement System); and

WHEREAS the NJKiDS implementation process requires both systems to operate concurrently until NJKiDS is in place and operational in all 21 counties;

THEREFORE IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to N.J. Const. (1947), Art. VI, §2, ¶ 3, that, effective immediately and until further order, the following Rules of Court are relaxed and supplemented such that references therein to ACSES shall be deemed also to be references to NJKiDS; specifically,

1.  Rule 4:101-1(b) is relaxed so as to permit entry of a child support judgment in the Civil Judgment and Order Docket through NJKiDS as well as through ACSES.

2.   Rule 5:7-4(b) is relaxed so as to authorize the use of NJKiDS as well as ACSES for administering child support payable through the Probation Division.

For the Court,
