By Order of July 27, 2006 the Supreme Court adopted amendments to various Rules of Court and Appendices to the Rules of Court, to be effective September 1, 2006. Included in those amendments are changes to Side 2 of the Civil Case Information Statement (Appendix XII-B to the Rules of Court) so as to designate a new case type for use by attorneys and litigants filing "complex construction" cases. Cases in this new "complex construction" case type (case code 513) will be presumptively assigned to Track 4, and will be subject to all rules and procedures applicable to Track 4 cases (see Rule 4:5A). Please note that non-complex construction cases should still be filed as case code 305; such cases will continue to be presumptively assigned to Track 2.
