Court User Resources
The Morris/Sussex Vicinage (Vicinage 10) offers the following resources for court users who need assistance:
In Morris County:
Court User Resource Center and Ombudsman Office
The newly created court user resource center offers a convenient location, near the main courthouse entrance, for court users to obtain assistance. Computer terminals are available for legal research. The center also contains statute and case law volumes, as well as other informational print materials.
Both the Ombudsman and a staff are onsite to answer procedural questions.
The Vicinage 10 Ombudsman, Janie Rodriguez, is a neutral staff person who answers procedural questions, addresses concerns from the public, and is responsible for enhancing customer service in the courts. Although the ombudsman is unable to provide legal advice—because court staff must be neutral and impartial—the ombudsman can assist with navigating the court system.
