Office of Ombudsman-
In the Judiciary, the ombudsman is a neutral staff person who answers procedural questions, addresses concerns from the public, and is responsible for enhancing customer service in the courts. The ombudsman provides a bridge between the Judiciary and the community to enhance public access by assisting court users in navigating the court system and providing relevant resources. As an employee of the Judiciary, the ombudsman is unable to provide legal advice.

To contact your ombudsman, you may call 973-656-3969, email, or visit the ombudsman office Tuesday through Friday at the Morris County Courthouse.

The ombudsman is available most Mondays at the Sussex County Judicial Center located at the first floor intake offices. If the ombudsman is not present in Newton, you may request a video conference call through the trial court administrator’s office, email, or call 973-656-3969 for an appointment.
