Middlesex County Technology

In keeping with today’s technology, Middlesex Vicinage offers digital recording of the court proceedings in several of its courtrooms. In these courtrooms the proceedings can be copied to a CD for listening and/or viewing. Having the proceedings in this format allows attorneys and judges to playback portions or all of the proceedings as needed on any computer. It can act as a great tool for the attorneys when developing their summation or appeal.

The Middlesex Vicinage Courtroom 202, the “High-Tech” Courtroom is the first courtroom of this kind in the state of New Jersey. It has been outfitted with even more advanced technology. This courtroom allows for the digital presentation of various types of evidence from integrated sources like a digital presenter (ELMO), VCR, DVD player and allows remote testimony via video conferencing. (Click here for PowerPoint Presentation) This courtroom has Internet access available via a wired network (at counsel tables) and a wireless connection. All other vicinage courtrooms have wired Internet access. Both wired and wireless Internet accesses are available to litigants free of charge.

Below are downloads that will help in the use of the technology in the Middlesex Vicinage courtrooms:
