The Information Technology Division is responsible for meeting the technology needs of the vicinage. The division coordinates all data processing projects, upgrades, and new installations; administers the network environment; and maintains the day-to-day operation of all computer equipment. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software problems and granting access to systems and resources, as well as writing and maintaining specialized software programs, and upgrading equipment as necessary.
The Middlesex Vicinage Courtroom 202, the “High-Tech” Courtroom is the first courtroom of this kind in the state of New Jersey. It has been outfitted with advanced technology. This courtroom allows for the digital presentation of various types of evidence from integrated sources like a digital presenter (ELMO), VCR, DVD player and allows remote testimony via video conferencing. All vicinage courtrooms have wireless Internet access available to litigants free of charge.
The division supplies technology to the courtrooms when requested by the court.  These technologies include:

  • TVs with VCRs and DVDs
  • Conference call phones
  • Traditional ISDN and IP video conferencing equipment
  • Internet video conferencing equipment
  • Other technology support as requested

Below are downloads that will help in the use of the technology in the Middlesex Vicinage courtrooms:
