All Jurors
Petit jury service is a follows: Monday: one day or one trial. Tuesday: 3 days or one trial. If you are selected for a trial, or if you are in the middle of jury selection, you must remain until jury selection is completed and must return to the Courthouse until that trial is completed. If you are not selected to serve on a trial or if you are not in the middle of jury selection by the end of the last day, your jury service is complete.
Reporting Jurors
Reporting jurors must report to the Jury Assembly Room located at 401 Grand Street, Rm. 325, 3rd floor, Paterson, NJ 07505.
Transportation
The Passaic Vicinage Courthouse is easily accessible by train or bus. The New Jersey Transit train station is located approximately 2-3 blocks from the courthouse on Ward Street. New Jersey Transit bus stops are located on the corners of Main and Grand Streets or in front of the Paterson City Hall on Market and Washington Streets. Amenities
Every Wednesday during lunchtime, the Passaic Vicinage Ombudsman sponsors a tour for jurors only to the Paterson Museum and to the Paterson Great Falls, which was recently declared a National Historical Landmark. Further information is provided at the juror orientation. In addition the Center City Mall offers all types of eateries and there are many other restaurants located within walking distance of the courthouse.
Juror Parking
Free Parking for jurors is available at:
- The Center City Garage. Take Rt. 80 to Exit 57B. Follow signs for downtown. Continue straight onto Ward St. The Center City Garage is located on the left. Turn left into the parking garage. Bring your parking garage ticket to the courthouse for validation. You will not be reimbursed if you park elsewhere.
Internet Access
Please note that we have free wireless internet access. Laptops and electronic devices may be used while you are in the Jury Assembly Room.
