The following message provides instructions for jury service in Atlantic City, 1201 Bacharach Blvd.
Please review the following instructions for Jurors in Groups #5 and #6,
scheduled to appear in the Civil Courthouse, on Monday, May 20.
Group #5: Please report for jury duty on Monday, May 20, at 9:00 a.m.,
in the Jury Assembly Room.
Group #6: Please report for jury duty on Monday, May 20, at 9:00 a.m.,
in Courtroom 1-C.

Emergency Closings
When inclement weather is predicted, please call our Inclement Weather line, 609-343-2227 to see if the Courts are open. The automated message will be updated with emergency closing information by 7:30 AM indicating a court closing or delayed opening.
The Atlantic City Police Department reports that they are increasing the enforcement of Pedestrian Violations in the city. LL:TTTTThAtlanticThAtlanticTheCityPleasePlease Please obey the Law! Do not walk against the red light or cross between controlled intersections, etc.

All Jurors
Petit jury service in Atlantic City is for one trial or two days. Petit jury trials are often one to two weeks. The trial Judge will estimate the length of each trial. Jurors usually serve from 9:00 am to 4:30pm.
Selected jurors must remain for the duration of the trial and must return to the Courthouse until that trial is completed.
You may bring your laptop computer with you, as a wireless internet is available.
Reporting Jurors
Reporting jurors must report to the location stated in the above message.
The Jury Assembly Room is located on the First Floor of the Civil County Courthouse - 1201 Bacharach Blvd, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
If you validly checked an answer in the red box (questions 1-6) and explained your reasons on the form, supplying documentation as necessary, you should not report unless notified by the court. Those who requested an excuse based on grounds of severe hardship will be advised before the reporting date if that request is denied. A doctor's note must accompany a request for a medical excuse.

Parking
Parking is free for jurors at the New York Ave. parking garage, located between Atlantic and Pacific Avenues. It is a highrise garage located in the middle of the block. Bring your parking ticket to the jury assembly room so that we can validate the ticket.
