The April 27 deadline for New Jersey attorneys to renew their annual registration and pay their annual fee is quickly approaching, announced Glenn A. Grant, acting administrative director of the New Jersey Courts.
“The Attorney Online Registration and Payment Center is the most convenient way for attorneys to renew their annual registration,” said Judge Grant. “Attorneys can pay their annual fee at any time, from any location, and receive instant confirmation that their payment has been received.”
To get to the payment center, go to www.judiciary.state.nj.us/attyreg/index.htm.
Attorneys who pay their 2012 registration fee online will receive a $5 discount. Those who pay after the deadline will be subject to late fees, according to the fee schedule on the Judiciary website.
Attorneys who used the payment system previously can go to judiciary.state.nj.us and enter their user names and passwords.
Attorneys in good standing who have never used the online payment center received a notice with their individualized login details in early February. A second mailing was sent this week to those attorneys who have not yet renewed their registration.
Firms can pay for groups of attorneys if the individual attorneys have completed the registration portion of the process.
