Assistant Family Division Manager in Essex Vicinage Honored
Ekpoanwan Erete Onyile, assistant family division manager in Essex Vicinage, is the 2010 recipient of the Institute for Court Management’s (ICM) Vice President’s Award of Merit for Applied Research. The award is presented annually to a graduating fellow of ICM’s prestigious Court Executive Development Program (CEDP) in recognition of the most outstanding research project.
Onyile was one of 22 participants who graduated from the program in May. The professional certification program was established to improve the management of court administration. The program consists of four intensive and rigorous phases of coursework, including preparing a master’s level research paper that relates to evaluating and implementing a court project.
Onyile began her career with the Judiciary in 1988 and has been with the family division since 1993.
ICM is part of the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), an independent, nonprofit organization that offers authoritative knowledge and information to courts nationally and internationally. NCSC offers services to courts, including research, technology, information services, consulting and education.
