Health Information Fair Held in Sussex County

A health information fair was held at the Sussex County Judicial Center on Oct. 21.
The Sussex County Office of Public Health Nursing administered free flu shots, conducted free blood pressure screenings and distributed information about H1N1 and proper hand washing techniques.

Participants also were able to obtain information about carbon monoxide screening, Alzheimer’s disease and programs offered by the Sussex County Office of Senior Services.

The event was well attended, and participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to obtain a variety of useful information.

Rashad Shabaka-Burns, Morris/Sussex vicinage assistant trial court administrator, said the fair was an example of the court’s numerous community outreach activities.
