A message from Glenn A. Grant, acting administrative director of the courts.
Welcome to the first edition of the Judiciary Times Briefing, known as the “JT Briefing.”
The “Judiciary Times” has been published quarterly as a print publication since 2000, and the Judiciary has produced a newsletter for more than 20 years.
In this age of technological advances, we believe we must be more productive and use technology to better inform and educate the public and our staff about the courts and the work we do.
With that in mind, we are launching “JT Briefing” as an electronic mechanism to deliver the latest Judiciary news and information, much in the way many are reading newspapers online instead of having them delivered to their homes the next day. We must continually seek to improve our system through the use of information technology.
This newsletter is another in our efforts to improve our system.
This and future issues of “JT Briefing” will contain stories and information about court staff, events and programs. There will also be sections highlighting employees who win awards and receive promotions.
I want to encourage all of you to read the e-newsletter with the philosophy of not printing out a hard copy. Our goal is to truly become paperless.
We understand that many of you will want to continue to read the “Judiciary Times,” which we will continue to publish with a focus on feature stories and longer articles about the courts.
I hope you will take the time to learn more about who we are and how we are serving New Jersey citizens.
Even as we face uncertain times in this difficult economy, we must keep the work of the courts on a steady track.
Even facing difficulty, now is the time to be thankful for those blessings we have.
I wish you wonderful holiday season to you, your family and friends.
