What can I do if I believe I have been subjected to discriminatory treatment, in violation of the Judiciary's policy on Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and Anti-Discrimination?

Persons alleging discriminatory treatment may file a formal complaint with the Judiciary, using the complaint form provided here (in Acrobat PDF format).This complaint form may be filled out on your computer, printed, and mailed to the appropriate Judiciary office.

Where do I send my completed complaint form?

For matters involving the Administrative Office of the Courts or the Central Clerks' Offices (i.e., the Superior Court Clerk, Tax Court Clerk, Clerk of the Appellate Division, or Clerk of the Supreme Court) the completed complaint form should be forwarded to:

If the alleged unfair treatment occurred in the vicinage/county, the completed form should be forwarded to the local Vicinage EEO/AA Officer for handling.

How will my complaint be handled?

An investigator will be assigned to conduct an investigation into the complaint and submit a formal report, which will include findings and recommendations based on the facts uncovered in the investigation. For matters involving the Administrative Office of the Courts or Central Clerks'’ Offices, the report will be provided to the Administrative Director of the Courts, who will issue a determination regarding the complaint. For matters involving the vicinages, the report will be given to the Assignment Judge for a determination.
