Juvenile Sexually Abusive Behavior (SAB) Caseload

Juveniles assigned to this specialized caseload have been charged with delinquency offenses involving sexually abusive behavior, including offenses under Megan’s Law.  The supervision provided utilizes a structured approach to provide more intense supervision than those of a juvenile on a regular caseload.  The SAB caseload requires the Probation Officer to have frequent contact with the agencies providing services in the case. Registration under Megan’s Law is verified with the local police departments in the community and the probation officer works in conjunction with the Megan’s Law Unit of the Prosecutor’s Office regarding the tiering process.
